Counter Sales (Parts Sales) - St. George, UT
Summary:
The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for our sales counter at one of our established wholesale HVAC/R distributorships that carries multiple brands of equipment, parts and supplies. This position sells a wide variety of parts to phone and walk-in customers, performs clerical and back order functions as required and may fill in for the warehouse when needed. The ultimate goal of this role is to provide strong customer service in a sales oriented setting.
Inside Sales
Responsibilities:
o Service walk-in and telephone customers and assist with sourcing and shipping parts, inventory control and warranty administration.
o Provide customer product and service needs by researching products via computer system, catalog, telephone or other reference sources.
o Arrange stock on shelves or racks in sales area and keeps merchandise in order.
o Apply suggestive selling techniques and up sells to current and prospective customers.
o Conduct outgoing customer sales or service calls and resolve customer complaints.
o Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
o Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
o Complete sales order process for customers with efforts to up-sell associated items.
o Takes parts orders from walk-in and telephone customers.
o Follows up on all orders to assure that customers receive prompt, efficient service.
o When required, provide customer service or call-ins after normal working hours.
o Keeps Management informed on matters of importance regarding customer service.
o Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
o Serve as a backup driver or warehouse personnel when needed.
Warehouse/Branch
Responsibilities:
o Order Filling
o Loading and Unloading Trucks
o Inventory Control
o Warehouse Cleanup
o All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
o Experience in wholesale and HVAC/R industry required
o Refrigeration experience is a PLUS
o High school diploma or GED is required and some college coursework is preferred
o Warehouse experience preferred
o Good organizational skills
o Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
o Proficient in Microsoft Office -- Outlook, Word, Excel
o Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
o Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
o Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service focus absolutely required.
o Ability to work independently, but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
o Capable of working in a fast paced environment with skills to multi-task on different levels.
