We can't emphasize enough the fulfillment this work will bring you, and you won't believe that you get paid to do it as well! In this position, you'll build relationships, improve the quality of life of and serve intellectually disabled individuals who just need a little friendship and care.
Your compassion and diligence as a caregiver for people with special needs will bring joy into the lives of the clients you work with! An ideal candidate for this position will be able to follow schedules and treatment plans, reliability and provide excellent care, display excellent communication skills and positive attitudes.
Caregiver Requirements:
Must be 21 years or older Be able to pass a full criminal background check and drug screening.
Must have a valid Utah driver's license and social security for background.
Responsibilities:
Plan daily activities to do with clients Maintain safety and the happiness of the clients Setting schedules for employees and medical appointments for clients Teach activities of daily living to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities Planning menus that follow dietary guidelines Daily documentation/Medication administration Assisting with the medical needs Encourage clients to have a clean environment and healthy lifestyle.
Qualifications:
Managerial experience preferred Strong leadership qualities Ability to provide physical care Excellent written and verbal communications skills Able to work swing shift, holidays and weekends.
