Switchpoint Emergency Shelter is seeking PT Support Staff to work flexible shifts Days (8:
00 am - 4:
00 pm) and Evenings (4:
00 pm - Midnight) 2-3 nights per week.
Resident Manager/Direct Support Staff @ Emergency Homeless Shelter
Responsibilities:
Understand and implement Switchpoint's mission and values and adhere to the Staff Code of Conduct and policies and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service to community members, volunteers, donors, residents in greeting in person or by phone.
Direct and refer individuals to the correct resources and information.
Compassion and good listening skills while still holding residents accountable to shelter rules.
Professional boundaries a MUST - providing opportunity with accountability for clients/residents.
Conduct check-ins with clients/residents and provide any needed follow up.
Supervise meal preparation and clean-up.
Monitor completion of daily chores with program residents.
Document notable client interactions with staff, volunteers and/or other clients.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with program residents; Reinforce community living guidelines with residents.
Oversee prescription and over-the counter medications to clients according to policy.
Distribute personal care items to clients per protocol; Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and resource information to clients and callers.
Interview clients seeking services and complete new client admissions according to policy; Perform program departure procedures with clients.
Immediately report suspected neglect/abuse to Executive Director.
Ensure the safety and security of the program and residents, including completion of walk thru.
Maintain program and client confidentiality, including former clients.
Review communication logbook and calls at the beginning of each shift.
Answer and document all telephone calls and activities per policy.
